Some people are so accustomed to constant criticism that they do not know any other way to help with making changes in themselves and others. If you're one of those people, do not feel inferior, because they represent the majority. My advice to you is: Criticize, if you must, but do it differently. Here are two possibilities.
Inverting.
It is a reversal of the normal pattern of criticism, which lies in the fact that first draw attention to something good, and then offer a critique. For example: "Namalowałeś beautiful picture, but the sky is too red." Definitely better then the effect is achieved when we turn sequence and say: "I think the sky is too red, but the picture is beautiful." Reversal of this is made after that speech ended with a compliment, because in terms of tension and relaxation compliment neutralizes the effects of criticism, especially in the body of the speaker, but in large extent also in the listener's body, so it becomes more open to help.
Interleaving.
Here the procedure is similar to the previous, but different from the fact that starting from the compliment, criticize, and then finish the compliment. For example: "It's a beautiful picture, but the sky is too red, but I like how namalowałeś waves." Such an approach, apart from helping to release stress, the caller will accept criticism in a more relaxed and with more desire to change.
